Requirements for layouts
Layouts in the following formats are accepted for printing
Pdf (the file should not contain embedded ICC profiles. All fonts are in curves. Color model is CMYK).
Tiff and Psd – CMYK, 300 dpi, all layers flattened, all alpha channels removed.
Indd and Ai versions not newer than CS5 - all fonts are curved, bleeds of at least 4 mm in each direction; the number of pages for a paperclip is a multiple of four; under the spring - the distance from the cutting line to significant objects is at least 20 mm. Indd file is only accepted by the package with all images and fonts.
Eps – PostScript Level 2, all fonts are in curves.
Cdr – versions not newer than X5, all fonts are curved, bleeds are at least 4 mm in each direction.
Layouts created in office and specialized programs (AutoCad) are accepted for printing only after translation into Pdf and strictly against the client’s signature.
Acceptance of all other types of files that do not meet the specified requirements is carried out by agreement with the designer.
Downloading layouts from the client’s personal email – by agreement with the designer.
Layout approval
The layout brought or sent by the customer is considered approved. Corrections and/or changes to the layout are also made against the order.
All changes made to the layout are approved by the customer personally with a signature, or by email to sales2@dem-tm.com, verbal approval of the layout is not allowed.
Check phone numbers, dates, addresses, website and e-mail. After signature, the layout is considered approved. Claims regarding grammatical errors or contact information will not be accepted.
Multi-page layouts
Multi-page layouts are accepted for printing only in pdf format; the pages in the file must be in the same sequence as in the finished product.
If the product must have blank pages, then they must be present in the layout.
The page size in the pdf file must be equal to the trim size, and the overhangs (4 mm) must be outside the page border.
The size of the trimmed edge inward to significant elements and text must be at least 5 mm.
The permissible error when cutting is 2 mm.
Responsibility for grammatical and other layout errors when printing from a finished layout falls on the customer.
Paper density
For digital printing, paper density ranges from 80 g/m2 to 300 g/m2.
For large-format printing, material density is 80 g/m2 (“engineer”), 170 g/m2 matte paper, glossy paper, self-adhesive.
Requirements for layouts for plotter cutting
For figure cutting, all contours must be in vector format
All fonts should be converted to curves.
Image scale should be 1:1
All lines should be closed; there should be no intersecting lines in the layout
The minimum height/width of characters in the layout is 5mm.
The minimum distance from the cut contour to the edge of the image or information is 2 mm.
All objects in files for printing and cutting are located on one layer.
